Ngày 4 tháng 2, 2025, trong một cuộc họp báo chung với Thủ tướng Israel Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump tuyên bố Hoa Kỳ sẽ ‘tiếp quản’ Dải Gaza và tái phát triển thành một “Riviera Trung Đông”, có thể với sự giúp đỡ của quân đội Hoa Kỳ. Người Palestine sống ở đó nên chuyển đến một địa điểm mới do các quốc gia Trung Đông cung cấp, và không loại trừ khả năng sử dụng quân đội Hoa Kỳ.
Ai Cập và Jordan đã từ chối ý tưởng chấp nhận thêm người tị nạn Palestine. Bộ Ngoại giao Ả Rập Xê Út đã tái khẳng định rằng họ sẽ không bình thường hóa quan hệ ngoại giao với Israel nếu không có sự đảm bảo về một nhà nước Palestine với Đông Jerusalem là thủ đô.

Ngoại trưởng thì nghĩ rằng Mỹ sẽ “hào phóng” bỏ ra số tiền rất lớn. Thư Ký báo chí của Tổng Thống thì an ủi người dân, “không có xài tiền của dân Mỹ, không có xài tới Quân đội đâu”. Bộ trưởng Quốc Phòng thì “cũng có khả năng dùng đến Quân đội, đã sẵn sàng rồi”.
Mạnh ai nấy đoán
– Ngoại trưởng Marco Rubio, người đang công du ở Guatemala, đã lần đầu tiên nghe thấy ý tưởng này khi ông xem cuộc họp báo của Trump với Netanyahu trên truyền hình, nói kế hoạch trục xuất toàn bộ người Palestine khỏi Gaza là “rất hào phóng”.
Rubio cho biết “Hàng tỷ đô la cần thiết cho công cuộc tái thiết là rất lớn. Một số khu vực đã trở nên không thể sinh sống được ngay bây giờ và trong tương lai gần. Vì vậy, những gì Tổng thống Trump tuyên bố ngày hôm qua chính là lời đề nghị, sự sẵn lòng của Hoa Kỳ trong việc chịu trách nhiệm tái thiết khu vực đó. Động thái này không có ý thù địch, mà là một động thái “rất hào phóng”, lời đề nghị tái thiết.

– Trump “không cam kết” sẽ gửi quân tới Gaza, thư ký báo chí Karoline Leavitt cho biết. – Đặc phái viên Trung Đông của Trump, Steve Witkoff, thì nghe theo Thư ký Tổng Thống cho chắc ăn, có gì còn đổ thừa được, nói rằng “Tổng thống Trump không muốn đưa bất kỳ quân đội Hoa Kỳ nào vào Gaza, và cũng không muốn chi bất kỳ khoản tiền nào của Hoa Kỳ cho Gaza”.
– Bộ trưởng Quốc phòng Pete Hegseth cho biết Lầu Năm Góc đã chuẩn bị xem xét “mọi phương án” khi nói đến Gaza, mọi lựa chọn đều được để ngỏ. (chứ chẳng lẻ nói Tổng Thống không có bàn trước, đợi hỏi lại xem có cần không?)
Chính Trump còn không biết Trump sẽ làm gì, bảo sao nhân viên mỗi người mỗi nói khác nhau!
Trump đã tính trước cả rồi, nên chọn Nội các chú trọng không phải là chuyên môn, mà là cái miệng, ưu tiên cho những người có kinh nghiệm với Fox News.
Nghĩ lại ngày xưa các nịnh thần phải đoán ý của vua mà làm, cũng khổ lắm chứ! Nhất là gặp “vua” không quen với việc lập kế hoạch, đụng đâu “bụp” đó như Trump! Mọi công việc không hỗn loạn cũng khó!
Còn Trump, người công khai khao khát Giải Nobel Hòa bình, vẫn còn đang mơ mộng sẽ có được một công lao to lớn để ẵm giải này.
